It's revealed that OSRS Steam will be released on Feb. 24th, 2021. Following the success of RS on Steam, OSRS is also set to bring itself to Steam for the better game experience. 
Unlike the standalone Java client, Steam client is written in C++. Below you can see the features of Steam client:
